DO I HAVE PTSD?

When trying to decide if you are suffering from any mental health condition, it is important that you consult with a mental health professional or primary care physician. In general, you should follow up with an experienced professional if you experience the following symptoms for longer than three months:

  • Nightmares or unwanted memories of a traumatic experience
  • Jumpiness at unexpected noises
  • Avoiding situations that are reminders of a traumatic experience
  • Being tense, on-guard, irritable, or losing cool over minor, everyday things
  • Feelings and relationships have changed for the worse since the traumatic event
