Disability Income Protection Programs
Short-Term Disability Insurance plan (SDI)
- Is provided by the State of California and designed to partially replace wages you lost because of a disability that was not caused by your work. Your benefit amounts are based on the wages paid to you during a specific 12-month base period, which is determined by the date your claim begins. This is an employee-funded program.

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance Program
- Is provided by Jefferson Pilot and paid by NCIRE. After a 90-day disability period you may be eligible for Long Term Disability benefits. The plan may pay you an income of 66 2/3% of your monthly salary, minimum $50.00 per month up to a maximum of $10,000 per month.

Workers' Compensation
- If you are unable to work because of a job-related injury or illness, you are covered by NCIRE's Workers' Compensation program.
